Welcome to the Snoqualmie Foothills Community Collaborative
We’re excited to launch the official website for the Snoqualmie Foothills Community Collaborative!
Who We Are
The Snoqualmie Foothills Community Collaborative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a bold vision: to develop, own, and operate a public aquatic, recreation, and community center in the Lower Snoqualmie Valley.
Why This Matters
Our community of over 15,200 residents—spanning Duvall, Carnation, and surrounding rural areas—currently lacks convenient access to public aquatic facilities. The nearest pool is over 30 minutes away, creating barriers for:
- Families seeking swim lessons for their children
- Seniors needing low-impact exercise options
- Anyone wanting to learn life-saving water safety skills
With over 1,000 residents on Learn-to-Swim waitlists and 27 drownings annually in King County, the need is urgent.
What’s Next
We’re in the early stages of this exciting journey. Here’s what we’re working on:
- Community Engagement - Gathering input from residents about their needs and priorities
- Feasibility Research - Studying potential locations, designs, and funding strategies
- Partnership Building - Connecting with local governments, schools, and organizations
- Fundraising - Securing resources to support our planning efforts
How You Can Help
There are many ways to get involved:
- Donate - Support our feasibility study and planning work
- Volunteer - Join our team of dedicated community members
- Follow Us - Stay connected on social media
Together, we can make this vision a reality. Thank you for your support!
